QUESTIONS

  • When should I go?
Vietnam's climate falls into two main zones. The center and south are tropical with warm to hot weather all year round and a wet season running from roughly June to November. This gives us an all year round riding season. Monsoon storms are generally heavy but don't last long. Highland temperatures can get quite cool overnight and wet weather gear is necessary, but tours are rarely affected The north of the country has four seasons. The best time of year is February to May and August to Novmeber. Tours are planned around the best time to ride as the mountains experience extremes of high rainfall and low temperatures.
  • How much experience do I need?
Although it is recommended you at least have some experience riding, we often take new riders and set the pace to suit their experience.
  • What bikes do you use?
In recent times the Honda XR150 road / trail bike has stood out to be the most popular touring bike. Large cc bikes are still rleatively new in a country with over 60 million scooters under 125cc! Comfortable off-road suspension to soak up the worst of Vietnam's roads, an upright seating position and enough power to get us through the mountain trails. We do offer premium tour options with Honda CBX 500 bikes. Please contact us to discuss these tailor made tours.
